]]>Y.CO is offering the 147-foot Pride for Mediterranean charters. The yacht recently attained her Spanish charter license, meaning guests can cruise to Spain and the Balearic Islands, destinations that offer “picturesque towns, world class nightlife, long, white beaches [and] mouthwatering local cuisine,” Y.CO says.
Built by Viudes Yachts in 2013, Pride may be considered a luxury locale herself. Her full-beam (31 feet) master suite has balconies on either side and an adjoining salon. It’s not the only stateroom with a private lounge space, however; the VIP suite has one too. Furthermore, Pride boasts a bar, BBQ and numerous sun pads and settees on her sundeck. A fold-down swim platform extends her aft deck 9 feet, creating a beach club. Should guests want to keep up their workout regimen, there is also a gym onboard.
She accommodates 12 guests in 6 staterooms, plus 9 crew. Y.CO reports that Pride has a 14-knot top-end.
Pride‘s weekly base rate is 160,000 EUR ($178,392) per week. To learn more, click here.

]]>Y.CO says the 228-foot Sherakhan, long popular for charter in the Caribbean and Mediterranean, will be moving to the Middle East and Southeast Asia later this year. Charter dates are available in both destinations starting this autumn.
Sherakhan was built in 1965 as a commercial ship and underwent a full rebuild in 2005, converting her to a luxury yacht. She remains one of the only crewed charter yachts that can handle groups larger than 12 guests, with a 26-guest capacity and amenities including an 18-person hot tub on her sundeck.
The current plan is for Sherakhan to be in the United Arab Emirates for the 2017 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in November (where the yacht is open for charter) with additional charter itineraries expected in Myanmar, Thailand and the Andaman Islands.
Did you know? Sherakhan was one of the first charter yachts to have a full-size onboard spa.

]]>Y.CO has hit the big-time in welcoming the 282-foot Aquijo to the charter market. The yacht, built in collaboration by Vitters and Oceanco, launched earlier this year as the world’s largest high-performance ketch.
Aquijo comes with a substantial pedigree that not only includes those two top shipyards, but that also includes Tripp Design Naval Architecture, interior design by Dölker + Voges and build oversight by Master Yachts, which served as the owner’s representative.
The yacht has a three-deck design that will accommodate 12 charter guests in their choice of seven staterooms. Dinner parties on board can be held with as many as 24 guests, and charter clients have use of an aft beach club designed similarly to the ones usually found only on power-driven superyachts. Aquijo’s beach club has a steam room, sauna and hot tub with views out over the water.

]]>The 197-foot Abeking and Rasmussen Dream is giving a 10-percent price break on Mediterranean yacht charters during August and September, according to management company Northrop and Johnson.
Because the month of August is considered “high season” in the Med, the 10-percent reduction will be applied to a weekly base rate of $390,000 for charter dates in August.
For September charter dates, the 10-percent price break applies to a weekly base rate of about $368,000.
Dream (which you may remember by her previous name, Excellence III) underwent a big refit in 2013 that included a stern extension with improved water access, and a new interior by Bannenberg & Rowell.
Charter highlights: 103-inch screen in the sky lounge, zero-speed stabilizers and a 33-foot Intrepid tender with day-head.

]]>The 161-foot Feadship Teleost — long popular on the charter market worldwide — is offering a significant rate reduction for charters this summer in the East and West Mediterranean.
Regularly, the weekly base rate to charter Teleost is $225,000. That rate is now $180,000, according to management firm Edmiston and Company.
Charter availability in the Mediterranean is expected to begin after June 5.
Teleost is a 1998 build whose owner is a stickler for maintenance and regular upgrades, with the yacht’s most recent interior refresh completed in 2013. She has a classic interior décor with mahogany woodwork and light-colored fabrics. The audiovisual system, toys (including an inflatable water slide) and more are all newer as part of the yacht’s charter program.

]]>Here are five charters to keep in mind for your next Mediterranean adventure.
The master stateroom aboard Inception is impressive, located aft on the bridge deck and opening to a hot tub. But the VIP forward on the main deck is also hard to beat, with pretty much the entire portside wall folding out into a private balcony.
Built for an experienced yachtsman, Mondango 3 has been the talk of the South Pacific charter circuit since she launched from the Alloy shipyard in New Zealand in 2014. This summer will be her first Mediterranean charter season.
My Seanna’s weekly charter rate includes the yacht’s 40-foot VanDutch tender. But the smaller yacht can also be chartered separately, complete with captain, stewardess and snacks prepared by the mothership’s chef.
Designed by Espen Øino and launched in 2015, Irimari is expected to be one of the most sought-after new superyachts for charter in the Mediterranean this summer. She takes 12 guests with 18 crew.
Dama de Noche definitely has a come-hither name, and her interior is as seductive as they get. Oyster builds this model with large windows and high overheads, creating an open ambience.
